• About Us

Hatzolah Shaarei Chessed’s mission statement is to save lives and improve medical outcomes of our patients. Our community-based volunteers are certified EMTs and Paramedics. Our driving Principles are, as stated in Parshat Kedoshim: “Do not stand by idly on your friend’s blood” and “Love your fellow man as yourself”.

Over the last year, the local first responders from Magen David Adom decided to expand our services to become a community-based medical response team. Under the umbrella of MDA, Hatzolah Shaarei Chessed was designed specifically to meet the needs of our community in Shaarei Chessed and its surrounding Rehavia and central Jerusalem areas.

Hatzolah Shaarei Chessed plans to continue expanding our services within our community as well as community training, blood drives, and other community events.

Due to the influx of anglo residents from all around the world, Hatzolah Shaarei Chessed prides itself on being built with our community in mind and assuring that all our members speak a second language besides Hebrew, so communicating with our neighbors in their times of stress and need can become more relaxed.

Hatzolah Shaarei Chessed is proud to be recognized and work with Chevra Hatzolah and Hatzolah Air
